Accessibility Specialist, Document Remediation (MS Office & PDF) | Contract | 0–1 Year Experience

Position type: Contract

Location: Onsite - Noida, India (open to India-based candidates only)

We’re identifying detail-oriented professionals to support accessibility remediation of documents across MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and PDF to meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards. This role focuses on improving the structure, readability, and usability of existing content using defined templates and guidelines.

What you’ll do

• Remediate documents in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and PDF to meet accessibility standards
• Fix common issues such as missing alt text, improper heading structure, reading order, and labeling
• Apply consistent formatting using styles, layouts, and templates
• Perform checks using accessibility tools and follow defined validation checklists
• Document updates clearly and implement feedback from reviews
• Support larger remediation efforts alongside senior team members
• Participate in training sessions on accessibility standards and tools

Job requirements

What you bring

• 0 to 1 year of experience working with MS Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and/or PDFs
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes
• Comfort working within templates and formatting standards
• Willingness to learn accessibility guidelines and best practices
• Basic understanding of accessibility concepts is a plus

Nice to have

• Exposure to accessibility tools or PDF remediation workflows
• Experience working with structured content, formatting, or document production
