Work From Pune Office

Job description

The Senior Instructional Designer is a practitioner who independently designs and develops high-quality learning solutions. You bring strong command of instructional design methodology, content development, and technical execution, producing learning materials that meet rigorous quality standards.

This role sits above the Instructional Designer on the career ladder. You work with greater autonomy on more complex briefs, apply AI-assisted workflows, and bring emerging awareness of quality, consulting, and ecosystem topics. The Sr. ID is a critical execution anchor on project teams and a deliberate stepping stone toward the Learning Experience Architect path.

What You’ll Do Daily

No two days look the same. On any given day you might be:

  • Designing a learning solution from a brief: choosing the right structure, writing learning objectives, and making the key decisions on modality and interaction pattern

  • Building out a storyboard in Storyline or Rise, writing the scenario branches, and making sure the interactions actually test what they are supposed to test

  • Working through SME feedback on a module you drafted, deciding what to take, what to push back on, and updating the content accordingly

  • Running a QA pass on your own work or a colleague’s, checking for accuracy, accessibility, and whether the design holds up pedagogically

  • Applying AI tools to speed up a content drafting task or generate variation options for a scenario

  • Sitting in on a needs analysis conversation with a senior team member, taking notes, and starting to recognise which parts of the brief are driving the design
