Job description

Senior Instructional Designer (Sr. ID) | Onsite, Noida | Open to India-based candidates only

Employment type: Full-time

Work model: Onsite (Noida)

Why this role exists

We are looking for a Senior Instructional Designer who brings strong instructional design fundamentals, reliable execution, and a consistent focus on quality. This role plays a key part in translating approved learning designs into clear, engaging, and instructionally sound learning content.

You will work closely with Learning Experience Architects, LXDs, SMEs, and delivery teams to ensure learning assets are built accurately, efficiently, and to standard.

Level context
This role is intended for experienced instructional designers who can independently own complex deliverables and apply sound instructional judgment within established learning designs and frameworks. As a Senior Instructional Designer, you are trusted to deliver high-quality work with minimal oversight and to contribute meaningfully to the effectiveness of learning solutions, while overall solution direction and final design decisions are guided by more senior roles.

What you will do

As a Senior Instructional Designer, you will focus on detailed design, storyboarding, and content development for digital learning programs, with accountability for the instructional soundness, accuracy, and quality of your work.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing detailed storyboards based on approved design documents, ensuring alignment with learning objectives, structure, and logical sequencing

  • Creating eLearning modules, video scripts, and supporting learning assets using tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, Vyond, and similar platforms

  • Applying instructional design principles consistently within defined frameworks and standards

  • Collaborating with Learning Experience Architects, LXDs, SMEs, and cross-functional partners to clarify requirements and resolve design or content questions

  • Incorporating review feedback accurately and efficiently to strengthen learning effectiveness and quality

  • Using templates, authoring standards, and approved tools to maintain visual and instructional consistency

  • Performing quality checks to ensure content accuracy, clarity, language quality, accessibility considerations, and basic functional integrity prior to formal review

  • Managing assigned work independently and meeting delivery timelines with minimal oversight

  • Following established workflows and processes to ensure consistency across deliverables

  • Contributing to team effectiveness through knowledge sharing and, where appropriate, supporting less experienced designers

Job requirements

What we are looking for

This role is best suited for someone who has moved beyond foundational instructional design work and is comfortable handling complexity and full ownership of assigned deliverables within defined boundaries.

You likely bring:

  • Strong capability in creating detailed, learner-focused storyboards and content

  • Hands-on experience building interactive eLearning using tools such as Articulate, Captivate, Camtasia, and related platforms

  • Comfort working with multimedia elements, interactions, and basic branching scenarios

  • A strong attention to detail and a quality-first mindset

  • Experience using AI or emerging tools to improve development efficiency, consistency, or quality

  • Clear written communication skills and fluency in English

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communication, or a related field

  • Relevant experience in instructional design, content development, or eLearning delivery

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a larger delivery team

Tools and technologies

  • Authoring: Articulate Storyline, Rise 360, Adobe Captivate, Vyond

  • Design: PowerPoint, Canva, basic Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator

  • Learning platforms: Familiarity with LMS concepts, SCORM standards, and content management

Why join us

You will join a delivery-focused learning organization with a clearly defined role ladder and strong support from senior learning leaders. This role offers meaningful ownership of work, exposure to increasingly complex learning programs, and a solid foundation for progression into more senior learning design roles over time.
